In the 12th century, during the turmoil caused by the Crusader invasions in the Islamic world, unity and order among Muslims were disrupted. Many Islamic lands, especially the holy city of Jerusalem, fell into the hands of the Crusaders. Salah ad-Din, raised with the understanding of “Justice to the world, freedom to Jerusalem,” led the Frontier Warriors under the protection of the Zengid State, engaging in combat against the Crusaders. The Templar Knights besiege the key city of Askalan, for if Askalan falls, Jerusalem will strengthen, and the Zengid territories will be in danger. Salah ad-Din wants to help Askalan to prevent this, but there is a significant problem: Askalanis are enemies of the Zengids. Therefore, despite the state council’s decision, Salah ad-Din goes to help Askalan.

Now, Salah ad-Din faces challenging obstacles. In the midst of this difficult war, a spark of love ignites between Salah ad-Din and Süreyya, the daughter of the ruler of Askalan. However, even though they unite in this war, they are on opposite sides. Will the spark of love that has ignited in their hearts grow, or will this war further fuel hostilities? Will Salah ad-Din be able to save Askalan and reach his goal? Will he be punished for disobeying the state and sultan’s orders by going to Askalan?

The series, starring Uğur Güneş and Dilin Döğer, also features accomplished names such as Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu, Kaan Çakır, Erdinç Gülener, Tuvana Türkay, Ekin Türkmen, Gökçe Akyıldız, Sezgin Erdemir, Ece Özdikici, Seda Yıldız. Akli Film produces and Emre Konuk is responsible for the project design of “Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi.” Sedat İnci sits in the director’s chair, while the script is penned by Serdar Özönalan.

Cast and Characters

• Selahaddin Eyyubi (Uğur Güneş): A leader heralded with the conquest of Jerusalem. A genius who sharpens his sword with knowledge. The terrifying nightmare of the Crusaders with his strategic intelligence and warrior spirit. His goal is to unite Islam and reclaim Jerusalem from the Crusaders.
• Süreyya (Dilin Döğer): As beautiful as a star shining in the sky, and as courageous as one who would fight alone against enemies. A skilled warrior both in devising clever strategies and wielding a sword.
• Nureddin Zengi (Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu): The Sultan of the Zengid State. A fearless and just ruler who fights against the Crusaders. A leader intolerant of oppression, utilizing his sharp intelligence in political maneuvers.
