Children of Heaven (Cennetin Çocukları): A Story of Redemption, Family & the Long Road Home
Children of Heaven premiered on TRT 1 on September 15, 2025, airing every Monday at 20:00. Directed by Soner Caner, written by Ali Kara, and produced by Motto Prodüksiyon, the series mixes drama, moral challenges, and family ties in a small town setting.
Plot Summary
At the heart of Cennetin Çocukları is İskender, a man whose childhood was shaped by hardship—orphans’ homes, streets, even prison. He survives through strength, anger, and survival instincts. But when he arrives in the small town of Arafköy, his life begins to shift. The journey toward redemption takes shape when his path crosses with Cennet Ana, a maternal figure whose own life is defined by loss and hope.
Cennet Ana is devoted to her family, especially after losing her son Kamil. She lives with her blind daughter, AyÅŸe, and works the farm to keep the household going, all while holding onto the hope that Kamil will one day return. The missing son becomes a symbol of her resilience and faith.
İskender’s arrival brings confrontation—with his own past, with community expectations, with powerful figures in the town like Şeref and Sarı Kazım, whose greed or cruelty upend fragile peace. As İskender tries to leave his violent world behind, he’s pulled into conflicts involving family, loyalty, and morality. The warm hope of a family’s embrace is juxtaposed with the harsh realities of change.
