Shahmaran is a Turkish series in the fantasy-drama genre, created by Pınar Bulut, and directed by Umur Turagay. The series stars Serenay Sarıkaya and Burak Deniz as the main cast. Its release date was on January 20, 2023.
Storyline: Şahsu, a psychology teacher from Istanbul, travels to Adana for professional reasons and chooses to face her grandfather who deserted her mother a long time ago. During her stay, she becomes entangled with a group of people who worship Şahmaran, a legendary being that is half-woman and half-snake, and who are anticipating the fulfillment of a historical prophecy. Şahsu’s life takes a dramatic turn when she encounters a mysterious man named Maran.
