Resurrection: Ertuğrul is a Turkish historical fiction and adventure TV series about the life of Ertuğrul Bey, the father of Osman I, who founded the Ottoman Empire. Produced by Mehmet Bozdağ for TRT and starring Engin Altan Düzyatan as Ertuğrul Bey, the series is set in the 13th century. It was filmed in Riva, a village in the Beykoz district of Istanbul, Turkey, and premiered on TRT 1 in Turkey on December 10, 2014. The series was written by Mehmet Bozdağ and directed by Metin Günay. Although it has been well received in Turkey and some other countries, it has been banned in some Arab countries, and some have issued fatwas against it. The show has also faced criticism for promoting the political agenda of the Turkish government. However, it is loved by the people all around the world and the admins of Turkision.
