“Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu” is a Turkish historical drama series that depicts the life of Malik-Shah I and his son, Ahmad Sanjar. The show explores the structure of the Seljuk Empire, its political events, and its transformation into an Islamic state. It was written by Serdar Özönalan, directed by Sedat İnci, and produced by Emre Konuk. The roles of Malik-Shah and Sanjar were played by Turkish actors Buğra Gülsoy and Ekin Koç, respectively. The series premiered on September 28, 2020, and concluded on May 31, 2021.
