Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu is a Turkish TV show about the political events and wars that took place during Alp Arslan’s reign as the Sultan of the Seljuk Empire. It is a prequel to Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu and stars Barış Arduç as Alp Arslan. The show was produced by Emre Konuk, directed by Sedat İnci and written by Serdar Özönalan. It was filmed at various locations in Turkey including Istanbul, Sakarya, and Kocaeli, and features music composed by Gökhan Kırdar and other Kazakh musicians using Turkic instruments. Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu premiered on TRT 1 on November 8, 2021, with the second season airing on September 19, 2022.
